Do you need permits? I've never hunted it but it sounds like a place worth looking into to me

Stay away from ringwood i was coon hunting there last year and lost my coon dog down a 200FT air shaft from one of the many open mines . NONE of them are on the park maps it's a wonder they allow people in the park.

What is the better side to hunt on the west side of the lake or the east?  I found a flat clear open area not to far off of old sheperd pond road. Only problem is gates dont open till 8 a.m. I have been there several times for deer and haven't seen anything, I know they are there, there are tracks and scrapes everywhere, but when your there they are not. Any advice.

The deer i heard are tainted because of the ford super fund site. they have seen deer with one antler coming up in the middle of his head. I believe it was rugman who told me this.
