NJ Hunter / New Jersey Deer, Bear & Turkey Hunting / Deer Action / Deer Zone 51 / To the thief who stole my trail cam from Howell

You are a thief, criminal, coward and many other things. You are NOT a sportsmen or should you ever call yourself a hunter. My family has been hunting this property for over 30 years. I know the land like my own back yard. Don’t think you are going to be able to hunt these woods. It is posted land and if we catch you we will prosecute. Its people like you that give all hunters a bad name. I hope one day you loose your privilege to hunt and fish. If your any kind of person (I doubt it)and you read this then you will put the camera back where you got it from and never come back on the property again.

Yes I do my father actually had a guy yesterday on our property walking around in full cammo and rubber boots. When he was confronted the guy said he was trying to find a mountain bike trail. Our property is off of 547 the closet bike trail is allaire about 5 miles away. Last I checked mountain bikers don’t ride in rubber boots and full cammo. He was in the front of our property and the camera was stolen off the back end. It was between 600pm Tuesday and 1000am this morning. This property is posted on every other tree so its not like you would think it public land

Thats why you take it, if you are sneaking onto someone else property during the week to nab a deer the last thing you want is that guy to have your picture!

This is the reason Im scared to buy a trail cam and put it anywhere!

Was the camera secure our just mounted to the tree?

Would be great if he was an idiot and took the camera down and tossed it in the brush. It would take a pic as he was removing it. The last pic was of a nice 8 pt I never erased the photos so who ever has it will get some nice shots

Why do you think he is a member of this site?

I think he is just hoping that he goes on the site. There are 3000 members here so there is a 1 in 3000 chance he is. He may not be a hunter at all it could have been a kid playing in the woods or might even be an Anti looking for hunting stuff to sabotage.

Good luck getting it back or finding it.

I put my name and number in mine..Two years ago i had two stealth cams stolen from a peice of property..A couple weeks later i got a phone call from a guy who had them..Turns out some kids stole my cameras and put them out on his property!!! I let him keep them since they were only 35mm..But sometimes it works out..Good luck getting your camera back
