This morning I met Hetley75 and Hunter4life at Hetley's house. We packed up trucks and headed out for the long 15min drive down 206 to our small Columbus property. This was my first time there this year, but by 7am I found that the deer are still taking the same trail as years past. First I had 2 does come off the field and stop and sniff 15 yards behind me. They didn't spook but definitely knew something wasn't right. They turned and walked off. About 8:30, while sitting there daydreaming, I see outta of the corner of my eye a nice doe at 20yards, walking away. I hit the Primos rubberneck and she turns and walks back. I stand grab my bow and draw. Ashamed to say I missed the first shot. She runs 10 yards and stops. I renock and let her have it at 30yards. She ran 100yards and expired. i wanna thank both of my cousins for helping out this morning.
The pic doesn't really do her justice. She looks small in the pic __________________ The bowman, to be successful as a hunter, must learn to perfection the habits of his game.
