Ok, so you've found that "Hot" deer trail, or Funnel area. But the only good tree near it has no branches or leaves on it. So if you put your Tree Stand in it, or hang your climber on it, your gonna stick out like a sore thumb.
You know the feeling. Knowing that you are silloetted against the open sky whether it be dawn or Dusk.

Next time try this.

I noticed that in several catalogs, several companies sold Brackets that attach to your Tree Stand, or screw into a tree, and hold branches that when seen from below, will break up your silloette. And I also noticed that they were expensive.
Now being the retired, fixed income person that I am, I started to think obout a cheaper way.

That's when it dawned on me.

OLD ARTIFICAL XMAS TREES USE REMOVABLE BRANCHES !
So I searched a few yard sales and located several old Xmas Trees.

Cost 2 Eight Foot Trees = $5

Now here's what you do:

Just take a hammer, and hammer the end of the metal "tree limb" flat.

Climb up into your stand and drill several holes in the tree at a downward angle.
Remember to place the "branches" slightly above you, so a deer looking up will see the branches "BEHIND" you.

Then place the "Branches" into the holes. They can be removed after each hunt or left there.

BEFORE.

AFTER.

Remember all your trying to do is break up your Silloette, thus concealing some of your movement.

It works !!

I know Franco,
Last year it was Putting Dummies in the trees when I wasn't there, now TreeFlage.
God knows what's next.

But this one works.

Just don't use any of those old Aluminum Trees

Oh, and yes, last year (near Xmas), I had a "friend" climb up into one of my "Treeflage" equipted stands, and hang several Xmas tree ornaments on the branches. When I got up in the tree a few days later, I laughed so hard that I almost fell out of the tree !!

In 2004 when I was sitting out in the woods (not hunting) I had placed myself in a laurel bush or patch. The parts of me that were open I had placed the trees that you can pick up at most craft stores around me.

Boy, did that do the trick.
