Find out at the NJOA webpage at the following link:

http://www.njoutdooralliance.org/whois/onboard.html

We will be updating this list often. Contact those legislators that have are not on the list and get their position on bills A3275 and S2041 in writing. We'll add them to our list.

Also, legislators that are on the list that NJOA does NOT SUPPORT may be moved to the SUPPORT list by responding in writing that they are against bills A3275 and S2041.

A few more points:

We will change the listing on a regular basis, so your representatives have time to clarify their positions - just ask them to.

I don't think many of our legislators are familiar with providing firm answers to a question about how they will vote. So it is up to us to let them know that this is an especially important issue that needs a clear response.

Your senator and assemblypersons CAN tell you how they would vote NOW. You can see from our website that many senators and assemblypersons have already told us they would vote NO. Your representative may be avoiding your question.

Here's what you do - in a very polite way: write to them saying that you are a supporter of the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance. You would like to know whether they will oppose bill A3275 or S2041 should it come up for a vote. You POLITELY mention that you want to know so that you can inform the NJOA of their position. Let them know it is a good opportunity for them to have their position clarified on the NJOA website.

The NJOA will support all those that oppose the bills - and do so in writing. You may also mention that a "vague" response or a "no response" does not have the confidence of NJOA and they will NOT be listed as having NJOA support.

Then please forward their response to me and I will publish it. I will need hard copies in order to post results (unless of course you get no response. Let me know those that don't respond.)

Also, if you receive NO RESPONSE from your legislator we will list them as NOT receiving NJOA support since a non-response is showing no respect for our outdoor heritage or New Jersey voters.

Again, be respectful but assertive. Each citizen deserves to know where their representative stands on all public issues. We must have respect for their position - but we can decide to VOTE accordingly.

Thanks
Ant
