Absolutely right, don't have to worry about the gimmicks when the wind is right....

Way to go on the humane kill.

Jason, I finally got to see this.
Good job. Nice to see Drina out there with you.
And, yes I agree, you got yourself a "keeper".
Congrats, nice doe.

yeah. shes been going with me every weekend since weve been dating.. over a year now..

she started college so shes doing homework on some weekends now, work before play... shes been with me for over 5 kills already..i cant say she doesnt feel bad.. but she doesnt mind it much.. as long as she doesnt see it die.. as soon as i draw back she looks away. LOL.. i hope to God i never spine one an accident while she is with me.. that could ruin her experiences...

i had all intentions of mounting her (shoulder mount) just because of the beautiful short hair and all, but i had no option but to drag her out and her face lost a ton of hair...  tasted good tho

Aw Jay, she was a beauty. Glad the meat was good.
I sent the video to a friend to view. He also enjoyed it.

Awesome hunt, great video and way to take her out and end her suffering, that broken leg would have been really terrible when cold weather sets in for good!

Thanks for sharing that, it was really neat and some good video work also!

Just wait till she wants to hunt! Nothing like having the woman you love make a kill while you're there  (or your kids, but that's "down the road" for you two I'd guess)

Congrats on the deer...I do and heavily disagree that scent lok is a gimmick. Scent lok most definately helps. I have majorly found that out this year. With the wrong wind direction, I got winded by a large group of does without scent lok this year. Then in the same area while wearing scent lok along with the same wrong wind direction every single deer walked out toward me. Scent lok does help and does work. Playing the wind is the most important aspect though! I wouldn't think of hunting any of the big bucks on our farm without the proper wind direction. But, if it slightly changed...I would still feel confident knowing I had my scent lok on!

good video.congrats on your doe.however, scent lok is not a gimmick, hope you get a big buck on video w/ your tactics, they are alot tougher to kill, scent lok may help you with one of those.

once the rut kicks in, if the bucks are in the area, they are dumber than a doorknob.. i think an adult doe with fawns is much more alert and smarter than an old buck in rut.. just my thoughts from what ive seen..
