Not sure about butchers, I do my own. Tinc road butcher was the closest I knew of, but he's shut down due to illness from what I read.
Check stations? Good luck. You have a better chance of getting a sunburn on the darkside of the moon. There is a Sunoco station off of 206/Peapack Rd. Or something like that, its relatively close. Closes at 8. RS Sports in Mt. Olive on 46 is close, but good luck finding them open. Their hours are like Noon to 12:05pm. LOL Straco3 in Hackettstown just off of 46 is not too bad either. Little bit of a drive. I liked when County line checked deer. Simon Peter in Andover on 206 is another one thats not too far from us. Bordy's but thats a drive. | Len - I live in Succasunna and in years past i used Wayne on Tinc Road, but a previous thread mentioned that he is not doing deer this year. So this year i am going to try for the first time to butcher my own. I have been watching the video posted on here previously as well as a skinning video and doesn't look to hard. I have a hoist and gambrel that i am hooking up in the garage, so my son and i are giving it a shot. I don't know of any other butchers in the area. I hunt up in Zone 4, so check station wise, i always check deer up in that area. Around here, i think the closet is out on RT 46 like Matt said. | ||

There is a check station in Rockaway... on Mt. Hope road up above the Rockaway Mall... but they do not check in late recoveries on Sunday. __________________ |
