NJ Hunter / New Jersey Politics & Guns / NJ Firearms ID Card / What is the process to get a FFL?
Posted:  13 Sep 2007 8:59 PM
I know a guy who runs estate sales.  Sometimes there are firearms they would sell, but are prohibited by law because they would need an FFL because there are a business running the estate sale.  I mentioned to him that I would get my FFL and work for them if they wanted me too and they seemed interested.  I just need to know the process.  Does anyone know?

Ask NRA?  Send email to FBI?

I know some one in Philly who has one, but not close to him.  No idea how he got it.

You have to get a letter from the zoning officer in the town you want the FFL to be held in stating that the building is "zoned" for FFL usage. Some construction departments are A-holes about it. I know of several horror stories with this part of the process. NJ state police web site would be a great place to start
