was too hot for me

watched the weather tonight. left the house at 6:35pm, got to the farm at 6:36pm ,in the stand at 6:40pm. saw the first deer at 6:45. had two does with 4 fawns entertain me for a half hour. fawns were runing all around bleating and chasing. had two more does work from a different direction, to within 20 yards but no shot tonight. it was hot, but you never know. just trying to do my part in protecting the sweet corn and pussywillows in the field. gona let this farm sit till next week.

took my doe last night. even with the wind switching were i was, i had 12 deer with in 50 yards, 8 with in 20. i took a quartering away shot at 15 yards. hit here 6" behind the shoulder, came out and hit the offside leg. she lowered her head and sprinted 50 yards hard. during the autopsy i found a heart with a perfect X through it. much like my muzzy 4 blade 130 gr. what made this deer special is my 5 year old helped me hang this stand. when i climbed down last night i could see her hatchet marks on the trees all around, "don't tell mom dad let you play with a hatchet."
