What else can I say. I set up at about 5:20 In teh powerline cut-grass was alot taller than I remembered from scouting. I cleared a spot next to some samll sumac, and settled in. 2 does snuck through the grass at about 20 yards. I stood up, but could only see their heads The whole deer was beneath thr grass(did I say the grass was tall), When they entered an area where the grass was not so thick, I lined up the shot and let her rip. Broadhead cought in the grass and arrow did a backflip over the deer. She leaped about 10 yards, and started to wander off-gras was still to high to shoot again
poor planning on my part-I should have checked the spot within the last week or two and planned for the high grass __________________ Support the N.J.O.A. and the "Littel Amendment" An amendment to the New Jersey State Constitution that Guarantees the right to hunt, trap, and fish in New JerseyNew Jersey Outdoor Alliance

| I'm shocked the grass is that tall considering we haven't had any rain in a while. You'll get her next time. | ||
