I'm new to the area. I'll be hunting on Saturday.  I hunt by myself.  I would like to hunt with someone once and a while.  I also want to do a little more scouting.  I have looked around a little but the ticks & chiggers kept me from getting to far.  I like to really get back into the thick stuff. It's a big place so it will take a while to learn the area. If anyone else is in the area and wants to get adventurous let me know.  Once the chiggers are gone I want to get the map and start finding some spots.  Thanks Bob G

Anyone know anything about all the home made ladder stands in the Mill.  There is a bunch of them (7) and they are all fairly close together.  They are aluminum ladders painted camo and rigged to a platform.  I found two more the last night.  I'm sure the further I got the more their will be. They kept confusing me in the dark.  It must be the same person that made them they are all the same and less then 70 yards apart.  Also, man what a maze of brite eyes.  They go in every direction, it crazy.

These stands might 10 or 15 years old?  I don't know if anyone uses them. Maybe on 6 day?  Lou do you know that area.  I found some road (fire road?) thats not on the map. I want to follow on Sunday and see where it goes.

I'm thinking that some of the clubs that drive put them up so there standers can get elevated over the thick stuff to see the deer. I know the area. There are a bunch of roads over that way that aren't on maps. As for a fire road i don't think so. They cut fire trails in the woods to prevent fires from spreading. I'm thinking the road you are seeing is a fire trail that may be torn up from quads and dirt bikes riding up and down them. Those guys on there bikes tear ass up and down the fire trails and make them a lot bigger then what they are supposed to be. I know there are a few fire trails behind my club that look like actual roads and you could almost fit a truck down them.
