NJBestBirdDogs and I hit an undisclosed body of water after work yesterday.  Nothing... not even a distant honk until after sunset.

We had two ducks fly in.  Then several minutes later a pair of geese fly right over us.  We could have shot them... but I wanted them to turn over the water and land in our decoy spread.

Well.. sure enough... they turn... but NOT land in our spread.  Oh well.  And then I think another pair landed on the other side of the water from us.

Since it was after sunset I do not think they even saw the decoys.

Oh yeah... I was soaked placing and retrieving the decoys... but it was warm outside...so it did not matter.
