How is it possible for a dead dear to get killed????

JS - I've been seeing a lot of deer on the side of the road.  Maybe we need to stop letting people into this state.  My wifes idea is to make a separate road for out of state people, where the speed limit is 25 M.P.H. and they have to pay double tolls, and it is only one lane.

your telling me you have never had a deer come out of nowhere at night and cause you to slam on your brakesalmost hitting it?  If not then come to my town or any other town with high deer densities and drive the roads at night.  You will see what I mean very quickly.  My family has hit 4 deer over 20 or so years we have lived here.  3 of the 4 were at night.  All were unavoidable.  One deer actually ran into the side of my moms car.  a deer ran out of the woods and my mom had to slam on the breaks...another deer following it ran right into the drivers side door causeing a lot of damage.  You should have seen that deers face smooshed against the glass.  If you hasve ever watched a deer run across the road you will see that they make the decision to just go, no matter how close a car is to them.  The worst time is during the rut when the bucks push the does into traffic and then follow with their heads down without a care in the world. Just realize that sometimes it is totally unavoidable.

are the fort dix deer being hit by cars where the magic electronic warning signs have been out up?  they're what's supposed to stop roadkills, according to some newspaper stories last month.
