Very interesting.  I have noticed that the deer in hunterdon that feed on soy and corn taste alot better than pine and woods deer. It definitely is their diet. But if you think that you can feed them enough to make a difference you are wrong.  We feed 200 pounds a month and that is just a SNACK for the deer.  1 deer eats about 15 pounds of ruffage a day.

Although a deer's diet definitely does impact the taste of the meat.  The amount of food that you are feeding them will not really change the way the meat tastes.  A deer will eat about 15 pounds of vegetation per day. We put out 200 pounds of corn per month per feeder.  Some of our spots have 4 or 5 feeders on them.  This is more or less just a snack for them.  Great idea though.  Good luck with that.  I have noticed that deer that eat soy and corn taste much better than big woods deer.
