Their have been reports here in Williamstown, I've never seen one.  My brother in law was scouting behind Hogbins on the pike and saw tracks.

One crossed the pike in Mays Landing.

The answer is No I have never seen one.

I was talkin with some fellas at the UBNJ Jamboree and they had said there have been recent sightings in the Warton State Forest. And that CO's had state that they were being transplanted from the north..ie the trouble makin bears?
Not sure bout that part..but anythingis possible these days in NJ.

I stopped hunting with my brother in zone 6 because of the darn bears.  I was running into them way too much.  I was stressing myself out walking to the stand in the dark. They would always appear when I was on the ground. Never when I was safe in my stand.  I don't want to start running into bears in in zones 21 & 18 now.  I will have to quit hunting.  They absolutely scare the shit out of me.

Bear tracks but no bear. I saw a dead one on the side of the road on I-80 in Mt. Pocono PA. That's the only one i saw in the wild.

Hunting zone 2 in Sussex. I've been out 1/2 dozen times this year, it's hard NOT TO SEE them. There was one outing I had so far with no bear sighting.

Not always the same bear, and many times mom with cubs, or two together.

Not only in the woods, but they are on my house property at night and in the middle of the day. Kids were forced into the house just recently while waiting for the bus with mom due to a bear walking down the neighbors driveway and my daughter had 2 bear sightings on the school ground so far this year where they made the kids go back into the building.

Naaaaah, they aint a problem.

Oh yeah, I just got an email tonight from NJDEP saying every county in NJ has now reported bear sightings. It was another email offering free bear seminars to become "bear aware".
