Ok, well I hunt a little bit further up 206 and a spot ALOT further up 206...the furthest south I go I go is Somerset...but Burlington County has some great opportunities and there are a lot of guys from that area on here that should be able to help you out!!

There is Lebanon State Forest and Greenwood WMA minutes from you. I sure there are other areas. __________________ My son says "Dad! You hunt deer for deer sausage, right?" I say yea sure!....He then says "When I grow up I'm gonna hunt werewolves, so I can have werewolf sausage for breakfast."

There are vast tracks of state forest and WMA to the south and east of you. It is not the greatest deer habitat, but stuff near suburbs is usually good. There is a lot of baiting going on too.
Check out the NJDEP F&W website for Wildlife Management Areas for maps and stuff. |

how much does it cost to join fort dix and is the area around springfeild twp open cause wueh i was alittle kid we use to hunt there I don't know how much it is but I copied some info to help you To obtain a state license, hunters must complete both a correspondence course booklet and a hunter education course offered at the Rod and Gun Club, for the different types of hunting permitted on Fort Dix: archery, muzzleloader and shotgun. Booklets can be obtained at the Outdoor Recreation Center on Doughboy loop. The hunter education classes start Sept. 26 with courses also conducted on Oct. 3, Oct. 24, Nov. 7 and Nov. 21. Classes begin at 8 a.m. and run until noon. Each hunting specialty has different dates on which hunters will be permitted: The fall bow season runs from Oct. 2 to Oct. 29; the permit bow season runs from Oct. 30 to Nov. 6 and Nov. 13 to Nov. 27; the six-day firearm season Dec. 6 to Dec. 11; the permit muzzleloader season runs from Nov. 8 to Nov. 12, Dec. 13 to Dec 24, Dec. 27 to Dec. 31 and Jan. 3 to Jan. 8, 2005; the permit shotgun season is only on Dec. 18; and the winter bow season runs from Jan. 3 to Jan 31, 2005. This year Fort Dix is also offering a special cantonment archery program beginning Oct 2. Hunters must be active-duty military or permanent full-time federal employees who work on Fort Dix or McGuire Air Force Base. A mandatory information training meeting will be held at Outdoor Recreation, building 6045, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 21 and Sept. 30 for anyone who would like to participate. Hunters are required to bring their state hunting license, a Fort Dix hunting permit, a work ID and another form of picture ID. The Fort Dix Rod and Gun club at Range 14 is open Wednesday’s from 2 to 8:30 p.m., Friday’s from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and weekends from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information on this year’s hunting schedule or information on how to obtain a license or a Fort Dix hunting permit call the Rod and Gun Club at 562-4676 or the Outdoor Recreation center at 562-6667. For information on the cantonment archery program call Outdoor Rec at 562-4211. __________________ The bowman, to be successful as a hunter, must learn to perfection the habits of his game.

lebanon st forest is pretty big, plenty of room. and also near you is medford wma off arc rd. Kind of small and most spots are probably taken by the locals, but you could probably make out mid week. Just put your time in scouting, maybe even on a saturday, this way you may find out where the gang is hunting as to stay out of their way and to have your own spot. Good luck. There's always Colliers mills also. There is a list of public deer hunting land in the compendium. __________________ The 4 seasons - Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer and Hunting Season
