If you want to bait with a specific food or food scent, would you put out the food or scent that is naturally in season at that time or try to use it when its not in season ? Example: acorn rage. would u use it when the acorns hit the ground or just before ? thanks guys __________________ LVMPD

Baiting does NOT feed the deer as many anti's argue. Baiting is a tactic designed to draw deer from areas that are un-huntable(ie. private property closed to hunting) to areas where deer can be legally harvested. On public land, baiting is a tool used to concentrate deer activity to increase the chance of harvesting a deer. There is absolutly no evidence that baiting maintains an artificially high deer population as many anti's suggest.

yea i only want to bait to get them infront of my cameras for an extended period of time. the trail thing works but its a quick few photos, if that. i hunt between a large soybean and corn field, loaded with oaks as well. great year-round bedding cover too, so they are held up nicely on the land. the trails are well defined, would just like to consolidate them for a minute to get some nice photos. my buddy does it on his property, seemed to work __________________ LVMPD

Soda that just gave me an idea? I wonder if we dumped sugar what would happen? besides ants and bees?
Baiting is one thing and feeding is another. If you dump and don't regulate then you could consider feeding. But if you have a feeder that regulates the amount of feed then you could consider bating don't you think. I seen deer go through 300 to 500 pound dumped in 2 days those greedy buggers.

how come you guys think oxPOLICExo is an anti? Did I miss something? I just took a look at some of his 93 posts and didn't see anything that struck me as strange. If he's not an anti there's some guys on here that are really giving him a hard time for nothing.
