My butcher closed up shop late last season and I am need of a butcher close to Zone 48. I got a few butchers cards last season and when i called them to butcher my doe I got no answer and no return call. I would use killers kitchen but he is too far from me.

Thanks in advance.

yeh, lenny took off to florida....his house is still for sale too!   i bought all his sage for my sausage, he sold everything else.
if i had to take it to a butcher, the closest guy in this(pemberton) area is henry worrell, located on rt 206 near new rd in southampton. he's a old time butcher by trade (like lenny).  he make descent loose breakfast sausage too..give him a shot, he's like 5 mins from where you hunt

Dubs, I think there is a place up around Columbus somewhere...I'll try to dig it out...that is where I plan on taking mine from down here in Southcentral NJ.
Posted:  24 Aug 2007 9:15 PM
that place in columbus was lenny( country butcher)

matt,  try henry i used for along time until i realized it was time to invest in my own equipment. hopefully in a few years i will make time to start my own side business, i have a nice shop now but i just sold my house and bought a peice of property in chatsworth and my house wont be built until spring.....so this year i might need a butcher too!

Henry isn't too far away...does he have a website?  24 hour cooler?  Check-in station?  What's the word?

If not a Check-in...who is the closest?  Mike's Sporting Goods on 38 is the only one I know of in this area.
Posted:  24 Aug 2007 9:51 PM
yeh...mikes is the closest to mt laurel...then you got nixons in tabernacle on rt 532...then that gas station on rt 206 in shamong.
henry has a cooler the whole nine yards..no check-in station there though.   no website either i could get a number for you and directions

matt,   if your gonna take it to henry you might as well take it to nixons to check-in, since its a little general store that has late hours you wont have to worry about mike's sucky hours..its like 10 mins from henry's right down new rd (pretty much 1 straight drive)

Yeah...that sounds pretty good.  I'd be coming from the Evesham area.  You have an address and number?  You should add him to the butcher list on NJH.

Thanks guys. Im plan on doing a few myself, but with kitchen under construction the space in the garage is minimal.

cool...609-859-9280...just checked the yellow pages for address..not listed...call him for address, but heres how to get there from evesham....take rt70 east to red lion circle go 3/4 around and take rt206 north, go past first light(ridge rd..about a mile from circle) once you go past that light about 1/2 mile the next road on right is new rd, as soon as you past new rd look to your left and you will see a huge sod farm with a farm house in the middle of the field (cant miss it), thats henry's, just make a left onto his driveway and follow his long driveway back around his house and you will see a red building behind his house that says deer drop off...just drop your deer in the building and fill out his log book and they will begin there proccess...hope this helps  if you need any help my email is gmbhorner@comcast.net

Henry is a good butcher.  I have used him for years.  Log book, drop off, cooler, etc.

Yes, I am a neebie, just joined.  I work with Buffalostink.  He informed me about this web site.

I hope I can contribute and learn a fews things.

Theres also a place off of sunset road in burlington that I use- Its called clover meat market.  You just drive around back, get the key and hang your deer in the cooler.

I am originally from Burlington.  Clover was right down the road.  I also saw some people talking about areas in BC

Do you have to skin your deer before taking it to clover meat market?  Also do they have 24 hour drop off or open late?

Never used clover.  Just know where it is or was.  It is near the hospital on sunset road.  I don't think you can drop it off.  I don't even know if they do it anymore.  Call them.  Location, Burlington TWP. Sunset road.

No you dont have to skin it.  you just drive the truck around back, go in the back door and get the key to unlock the cooler, hang your deer and fill out the form with what you want done.  I dont know how late you can take it, but ive gone as late as 9
