I've been hunting there for years. Yup a lot of the hunting areas have that problem. What park entrance were you looking at?

I Started poking my nose around the Ranger Station lot, then I was going around Jaques Rd entrance which is where I left the hunting zone (I think- no signs and that map is almost unreadable) and found some good signs.  I was out in the field around Cortelyous yesterday and spotted a couple of doe

i hunt there on 6 mile around that area of jaques rd. and yeah a lot of bucks that i have seen in that area were just inside the posted signs

I've been sticking to the area off Corteleyous. They recently did some excavating there. Most of those fields were FULL of pines. The park just bulldozed all of em this summer and these fields grew in. Problem now is that if anyone gets a deer there good luck tracking it through that mess! Last year I went scouting after the season ended. Found a rotting doe with an arrow in her.

You usually get that when there's too many deer in one area and not enough nutrition to go around.

Hi guy's, I've been hunting 6 mile for a long time now. They do have alot of deer in there along with bikers, hunters, joggers and anti's. Thats right, anti's. The deer watch the main path for the bikers. then they will cross. I watch them, watch them. I moved in further so I can get away from other hunters. I'm about a mile in (give or take). gkurilla, are you parking in the lot on cortelelous? I my run into you than. I have three stand off of there. Was out today to check my bait. It was all torn up again. I tried come-er=deer by my corn. Completely gone. Put more down today. Good luck to you on sat. If you see my truck, stop by and say hi. I have a red dodge w/USMC stickers on it.

Not for nothing but their 100lbs bags of corn are consistantly 8lbs short.
