I'm in set me up with a team. What is the prize to the winning team? Maybe we can all pitch in $5 into a pool and the winning the winning team can get gift cards to dicks? example $400 collected winning team has 5 members that would be $80 gift card each. Just a suggestion and if this is the way it has been done in the past it's a good idea

It will be like the deer check in, example = SG check in 10/4

I will find and post the rules Mack has had in the past.
Posted:  04 Oct 2007 6:30 AM
squirrel/woodchuck/crow= 1 point
chukars/quail= 2 points
pheasant/rabbit= 3 points
coyote/fox= 3 points
grouse/woodcock= 4 points (POINTS FOR THESE ANIMALS ARE 4 POINTS BECAUSE THEY ARE HARD TO FIND)

RULES: you may hunt clubs/private land, but you must only count (for points) only the amount of animals that can be taken on public land. Example: you hunt on private land and shoot 5 pheasants. you can only count 2 pheasants. We need to keep the playing field level!

any weapon (that is legal to use for the game you are hunting) can be used. Example: you can hunt for squirrel with either muzzleloader or shotgun.

the contest starts September 30, 2006. Game shot before then cannot be counted. the contest also ends February 19 of 2007

A picture of the game needs to be posted on the Small Game Contest link for that day or e-mailed to Mack at mack@NewJerseyHunter.com to count in the contest! We are going to need some hunters honor here as well! I will not be a pain in the butt when it comes to pictures. If you forget to post a pic once or twice will understand but if you continuously forget, your points will not be given. This is just for fun so enjoy!

I'm in set me up with a team. Mack I hunt in the same spot as you about 99 % of the time so if you have room on your team that would be great or maybe start a team 6?

Do woodcock count for this contest? I know they are migratory, but they can be viewed as small game.

pheasants should only be 2 points with the chukars and quail..... Stocked birds are a bit easier to find then those sneaky wabbits....

Just a thought.....
