I went out yesterday to check on my double stand that I hung up last year. I was walking down a quad trail to get to my stand and got swarmed multiple times by deer flies while walking the trail. They are annoying as hell. They wouldn't land on me due to having bug spray on with deet, but they wouldn't leave me alone. Man are they a pain. I'm not sure if they bite or not, but I don't want to find out!

At least you remembered the spray. I always spray and keep it in the truck.

Man them things are nasty they will chase you. I have been swarmed by them and I took off only to look back and see them following every move I made. And yes they bite and it hurts like hell..! __________________ Member UBNJ

They are the same as Horse Flies and they DO bite. Not nearly as annoying as Mosquitos though. Take High Potency B-Complex vitamins. Once you've used that for awhile, the but bites seem to diminish if not disappear all together. __________________ Swift, Silent, Deadly and HUMANE !!
