I'm gonna hunt Sapawna Meadows this year for the first time. My brother and nephew have been hunting there a while. We went spotting last week and saw a lot of signs on a couple islands. Can't wait to get in the tree.

Zone 59 is my backyard.  I used to hunt the Davis farm before he past away and willed it to the feds.  I waterfowl hunt there all the time.  Used to hunt acrossed the road a Jim Gants (retired cop) Farm, that is the farm acrossed from the entrance road with the big red barn and horses.  Also, hunt Christmas Tree Lane, Fowser Farm all the way at the end.  The game warden who died in flight 93 in Pennslyvania was a good friend of mine.  I showed him the land and meadow when he first came up here from Virginia.  My buddy, also has a muzzleloader permit for this zone.  I still hunt a couple of small farms that connect to it.

I'm just learning the area, but from what my brother tells me, I love it already!  I should be in my stand by 6:20 AM, snow and all. I hope I can sleep tonight! Good luck this year and stay safe.
