Lot of bucks in zone 8 around chester area
Posted:  08 Dec 2007 7:28 PM   Last Edited By: craigery71
saw a huge 8 that would prolly score 130s  tonight, huge white basket with a lot of mass follwing a doe, he came out of 1 of 2 bedding areas i was sitting between around 4:20, he slipped around me at ranged of 60-90 yards with no shot opportunities with buckshot. i had a slug gun every day this week but today... go figure.  this is the buck i will be hunting the rest of the season on my big farm piece. im going to pass a lot of nice deer until i get him.... wish me luck!

I think this type of situation might come to haunt me as well.  I didnt pay the extra 28 bones for a buck tag for permit shotgun.  If any bucks are out of my bow range(30 yds) I am SOL.  Good luck dude...I hope you tag this beast

You have until Wed to buy that tag for permit shotgun no matter when you bought the doe permit... If you haven't bought your shotgun doe permit yet you can buy them both together anytime during the season...

hadn't had a camera up at this spot in the past month, got tons of pictures the prior month of a huge red rack 8 point. my neighbor down the road said he shot it but couldnt find it and i showed him a pic of the buck and he said that was it. well, i wanted to find the truth so i put a cam out last night and just checked it to find... HES STILL ALIVE! THANK GOD hahaha

i was pulling out of my big farm piece where the tall 8 i have been hunting is. saw him in the field next to the bedding area where i am hunting him. i have gotten pics of him the last 3 days in a row. its cool to know hes got a small core area and is gonna be sticking around.  cant wait to get a shot at him. heres a pic i took from my car.
