Been searching for a decent price for this unit, best I found was $368 on Amazon.com, and also at 6 Ave. Electronics, normally going for well over $400. I went and did a search just now, and on Amazon.com, there is a store selling them for $299, plus $8.00 for shipping, brand new with version 8, I jumped on this deal

Good to hear you finally made the GPS purchase. I think Garmin is the best! I take mine up to Canada all the time and it works up there too... never misses a beat Saves a lot of headaches.

Nice. I just found out how to upload custom Points of Interest from my computer using Latitude and longitude points. I use this to add all my fishing and hunting spots.

I was going to go back to 6 Ave. Electronics this afternoon to purchase this unit if I couldn't find it at a better price. Matter of fact I found it a few days ago at the same price, went back on after dinner and it was gone. If you purchase this unit make sure you get the version 8, it is the most up to date software

kea, I sent you the email. If by chance this seller is showing out of stock, keep trying, cause this happened a few days ago to me and I missed out, here it is a few days later and it was back up

Kea, quick, someone is selling it for $300
Posted:  31 Jul 2007 11:24 AM
BHC - In case you didn't know, you actually can haggle with the sales people at 6th Ave and "negotiate" a better price.  I did this 3 yrs ago when I bought my camcorder and TV from them.  On top of the sale for my TV, they took an additional $60 off it.  I forget what special deal I got on that.  This was at the one in Woodbridge.

They won't beat $299, cause the Nuvi 350 is a hot seller. I even tried PC Richards & Sons, they give a "%" off public workers, and they couldn't touch the price that 6 Ave had. But I do thank you for the information

You definately won't get 6th Ave to drop their price by $100... no matter how good you are at haggling.

I just boughtthe Garmin Legend, but I think I am going to bring it back and get the Garmin Legend CX.  It is hand held for hunting and fishing and also has a street map.

I have this unit and love it.  Bought one for my daughter and fiance as well.  I had the Magellan Street Pilot prior to this and it just doesnt compare.  Garmin makes great GPS's.
