Anyone up for some crow hunting?  We could hunt at Black River and piss the bowhunters off.

I hunt for crows after deer season. I usually go up along old mine road, all that federal property. I do pretty good up there.

bowngun88: I hunt there, and every years seems to be more and more of these flying rats, they are so loud when they group together, and it seems when that happens I don't see deer, makes so

They are Federal regulated bird because they migrate.  The Feds give the state so many days in a week to hunt, but cant hunt them from April to July due to nesting.  So the months that you can hunt them the state picks the certain days to hunt them in a given week, which is four days.

This is the crow hunting site we discussed..perhaps you have already seen it.

Paulinskill is another place good for crow hunting. I think hunting from noon till about 3PM shouldn't interfere with guys bowhunting.

I'd like to try it.  Lemme know when and where.   I've never hunted them but I heard it's fun.

Morning is the best for crows.  Any time after 9:00 is hit or miss.
