I put my camera in Mendahm last Wednesday just to see if I would catch a few deer walking by even though there are no feeders in yet (I did put in one sweet deer block). I pulled the chip from my camera today and had 265 pictures on it for the week. There were no real shooters but I know they will be there because of the amount of decent deer we passed on last year. Here are a couple of the pics.
I saw two bucks while I was there. One real wide 8 pointer and a spike with both antlers hanging in front of his face. The antlers on the spike were bobbing up and down as he walked. They must have broken off his head and are still attached by the velvet. The wide rack buck is a leftover from last year. He was camera shy but I'll post so pics of him from last year and this year (when he comes back) so that you will see the differance that one year can make on a decent buck if he is left to grow.  __________________ I’m a Republican because everyone can’t be on welfare.

You have a pretty nice buck in that 5 th and 6th pic. They still have some time to put on some inches too. Good luck on getting 1 of the big guys this year. You have to love scouting cameras. They help you find the big guys. Great pics.

nice pics, I can't be sure but I think I saw that wide 8 crossing a road well before light one morning late Oct last year on my way in one morning. He must be a monster if he made it __________________ Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.

JR I saw your opening day doe asleep on the front lawn on Horizon today, she was large and all alone.

Wills hunting set up is tough to take.. he has a couple of deer That packs his gear in for him then when he shoots a deer they are nice enough to die in the back of his truck where then a couple of Mexicans promptly butcher his deer for him , and then by the time he is out of the woods they have a nice backstrap all cooked up for him and the rest of the meat waiting in coolers for the ride home.. Thats some tough hunting there buddy..

Here are a few more pics. Nothing real big yet. I moved the camera to the other end of the property by another ladder only to find that some SOB stole my ladder. Even on private posted property nothing is safe. I'd love to catch this POS and teach him a lesson.
