NJ Hunter / New Jersey Small Game & Waterfowl Hunting / Small Game Action / What do you guys think?

I was up at my father-in-laws cabin this past weekend and saw 2 wood [no swearing please] and got the crap scared out of me by a grouse.  My wive and father-in-law also saw a grouse.  My father-in-law and brother-in-law saw a pheasant.  I have been thinking about getting a New York non-resident small game license to hunt up there.  He has 50 acres and is surrounded by state land.  Do you guys think it would be worth the $55.00 to hunt birds when I get my pup?  I would only be hunting for 1 or 2 weekends out of the season.

Go for it

Grouse breast meat is some of the best you will ever have.  You'll probably have so much fun, I think you'll spend more than a couple of weeks doing it.  Especially when that pup looks at you with those big brown eyes and whines at that first frost.......
