Is it true that you are not allowed to hunt on Sunday? Why is that?

In NJ, no. Currently no Sunday hunting (except for pheasant hunting on semi-wilds). It's an old blue law that hasn't been repealed yet. There currently is a push for Sunday bowhunting that MAY get voted on this year. so would it be within the boundaries of hunter etiquette to do scouting on Sundays or would that be grounds for an accidental shooting!
