This weekend I did some scouting in a new spot. The total of deer so far is.

Was out about 8pm on the 3rd and saw a nice 6pointer, to bad it didn't get close enuff to get a pic.

Here is the 8 & 10 pointer, look at the body size of the 10pointer ( He's a pig )

| Fine, If you call this scouting I'm not going to argue with you. How about some pictures of those same bucks during the daytime eating something other then a pile of corn. Pictures of deer at night are great if you want to see what's in the area. Hunting on trials that lead to them is still like hunting over it, (bait). What ever happened to the days of LOOKING for fresh sign and hunting deer on what they are eating at the beginning, middle and late season. Hunting a food stand isn't very rewarding to me. Or on the trails leading to it. You would be able to walk a lot further and scout longer if you were not carrying all that feed. Nice pictures. Great deer. | ||

Death from above, I hunt on 16 acers & have a Heart problum... I use bait the bring the deer on to huntable land, it is also to check out the herd, how many bucks & DOEs, it's a tool... I don't use it to replace what I learned... I have taken deer from the southwest & up the eastcoast. I have hunted in the swamps of LA,MIss the Hills of Texas out to the planes and Right here in Jersey. I don't have Moosems, lost all my old photos.
I help in supplement the herds feed... I don't keep heavy baitsites, but I will put some out once a week or so...When we have heavy snows I'll put out more.. __________________ Quote: Hunting is My Heart & Soul, Without it. I'm just a empty shell. |
