can you peel the old felt away if so just rough up the surface of the boot and glue new one on ,I would clamp them and let dry

i called orvis and they said they would replace the boots with new ones.  they have done this in the past.  these boots i have now were replaced a few years ago.  only problem is if they still have some of these laying around.  it can't hurt to try.  if they dont have them, then they will send them back and i'll replace the felt.  the boots are in excellent shape so i dont want to throw them away.

yeah this is the only orvis item i have ever owned.  i was going away for a week long fishing trip to hancock awhile back and my wading boots fell apart the day before i left.  i went to Ray's sport shop and these were the only ones in my size they had.  i had to buy them.  they are a GREAT boot too.  years ago i had a seam come loose and lost a grommet on one boot.  they replaced the boots for free.  well now it might happen again.  it was well worth the $120 or so for them.

Peel old felt off rough up bottom apply very strong adhesive then put New felt in place wrap with Duct tape and let dry with duct tape still wrapped around for 2 days. Remove duct tape and you are done
