| Any rabbit hunters out there in central NJ? If so, where do you hunt? How many dogs (if any)? I have/had a decent spot that they are now building on. Might be able to get 1 more year out of it, so we might as well go shoot them up or the dozers will get to them. | ||

I love rabbit hunting too. No rabbit dogs though. __________________ It isn't the catch or the kill that makes for a great outdoor experience but enjoying all that God has created for us.

I used to hunt rabbits alot we had to beagles up untill I was in my early 20s I used to love to get out there with pop and Lady.. __________________ "Fat, Drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life son."

Jim we are on for some rabbits right? I am going opening day after I hunt Pheasants in the morning I am going right over to the property. Would you want to join us for Pheasant and then go after some rabbits? __________________ Member UBNJ

I use to go all the time and loved it but i havent gone in a few years since the dogs died and the town brought the property we hunted

We are going to Bershire Valley in the Morning for Pheasant. My Father, My buddy Greg and Ian are going along with you if you want to go. The spot we have is really good there are some guys there but it is not as crowded as some of the other spots there. Drag you can come to. Would you want to meetup with us in the morning? I think we should have a opening day of Pheasant season meetup. we can get a nice line of guys together to walk the fields in Whittingham. I use to have like 20 guys in a group and we would get together for opening day and push the fields and woods as a controlled group it always worked out well. Let's do it I will start a post. | Jim, the property is in Cream Ridge (central NJ). Havent been by there in a while, but they were doing perk tests in the fields over the summer. The guy I hunt there with assured me that we would be able to hunt this year, but i'm not holding my breath. My buddy has 5 dogs. Two are very good, 1 is ok, and 2 are "me-too, me-too". The last two are only 2 y.o., so hopefully they will come into their own this year. Its hard for him to get them out alone when you have 3 other dogs at home barking it up in suburbia. My dog is pathetic. She is good alone (a little too slow for me though, but won't miss a check), but put her around a pack and she falls apart. Jim, where do you hunt? | ||
