Good luck everyone with your "Run for the Roses" bets...that is if anyone around here is into the Thoroughbreds Going at lunchtime to place a couple bets and then later tonight gather up a few Mint Julip necessities...like Woodford Reserve. You know my garden just started producing some chocolate mint plants...just in time.
As someone once stated: Why would anyone wanna clog up a good glass of bourbon with sugar and leaves?...go figure...but it is a little taste of Kentucky heaven

lunch special...turkey meatballs (since there's a lot of turkey goin' around) and gravy on pasta with cherry tomatoes and olives.  That's what I'm havin' today...only thing missing is some Morels - which I haven't tried yet (hint hint...the bar needs some Morels )

Sorry about the shot of the night, I wasn't in the bar...BUT the shot of TODAY is a MINT JULEP...I'VE HAD A few...but will give a round of MINT JULEPS to ALL on the house!!!! Enjoy, I have to get back to the Kentucky Derby.

Well it is early but I am starting the day off with Bloody Mary's.
