Goodnight, guys. Johnny Cash was a favorite of mine and my 1st hubby.  He is the one who gave me the piano back in 73.  He bought it off a friend used. It's a 1959 Sohmer console with French provincial legs.  They don't make them anymore. It is also more for memory's sake. Have had it moved several times since we got it.  Yes, it's very heavy.

...mine is a Behning Upright Grand...in Excellent condition...well taken care of and maintained...no chips...scratches...all original ivory and ebony ..pedals etc.,. ...built  1895-1896...they don't make them anymore either,...it was given to me by my fathers high school science teacher and client ( he's in his upper 80's), he bought it used back in the early 60's for his kids...I guess he learned of my musical interests    and asked if I would like to have it....SSSSssoooo I got me a piano

.....TGTTD....coffee and off to work....have a great day all

Good Morning ALL!  Day before Thanksgiving.  Hope all will have a great day.  Much to do today, am sure.

Gillie, WOW, built in 1895-1896..Very nice piece, indeed!! Hope you really get to enjoy it.   My Sohmer is also in great shape but does have a few scratches from being moved about 7 times.  Still a beautiful piece.  Also has original works, ivories, ect.  The friend who we bought it from had bought it new for his daughter but she didn't take lessons that long..just lost interest and as they were selling their house, they were selling the piano, so my hubby bought it for me.

Enjoy your cups of coffee.   I just had 2 and that's pretty much it for today for me.  Will have something else later.

Bartender, give a round or two to my friends and keep the music playing on the jukebox.

Start out with this Garth Brooks song, "The Dance". The 1st link is the guitar playing.  2nd link is a little history of the song, was written "live".

Ron, those were great songs. Some mean guitar stuff.
Thx for the Hank Williams vid.  My 1st hubby used to play him; especially that particular song so much...I must have heard it 100 times over 23 yrs. Was great.  Funny, how they can make old videos.

Thought you guys might enjoy this one by Shania Twain

Good luck to all going out tomorrow.
Am getting out there, again, myself.  Am too excited to go to sleep.  Nephew picking me up around 3 AM. Heading down to his club, 1-1/2 hr ride. Hanging with him and several family members for some goose hunting.  Gonna be in a goose blind and freeze my A$$ off.
Later, one of my bro-in-laws taking me with him for duck hunting.   Gonna be a great day for me.  Always have fun with these guys.  Hope they tag out with the geese and get a few mallards and/or wood ducks.
Will be MIA from the PC til tm night.
Goodnight, all.

Good Morning ALL!! A little snowy/rain mix this morning.  Already melted with light rain, here.  Glad it was dry yesterday.
See you guys sharing some good entertainment.  Was too tired to come in here, last night, being up for a day and a half before.
Did get to experience goose hunting.  Was cold but not too bad. Nephew had a couple of blankets and hand warmers for me which worked well.  Would have froze, otherwise. Was down at his club and had a great time.  You haven't lived til you are on the cold, cold ground in one of those goose blinds. We were in a corn field and saw several flocks.  The guys shot 6 of them as they were coming in.
Later went looking for ducks with one of my bro-in-laws.  We walked all around a creek and did see a flock but they were too high overhead.  Nothing was on the water.  Another hunter was going to push them towards where we were, and he managed to get 2 nice mallards, then.
All in all, a really great day for me.  Can't wait to get out there, again.
Bartender, make sure my friends Ghillie and Ron get whatever drinks they want today.
Just an extra large mug of fresh brewed with cream for me.

Howdy guys. Thanks for the nice words.  Ron, thx for the Hank Williams Jr tune.  Good one.

Never saw that thread so don't know if the person was an anti or not.  What town was that?

Drinks on me tonight.  Bottoms up.

hey all.hows your week going so far?i was born n raised in Medford in burl.county.medfordhunter was the screen name.lol i have never herd so much about antis. til i came to this site its just weird for me to hear cause  where i grew up mostly everybody hunted n if they didn't they didn't care.our big 6DAY tradition on my street was to hang our deer in the front yard n in my 42 years we only got 1 letter from a little girls mom who while ridding the bus to school was so upset that she  called her mom n the letter mentioned that and asked if we would hang our deer in the back yard.lol any way drink up its on me.KEEP the usal for me please.
