11pointer, the buck your are talking about was killed in waretown, ocean county... we hunted that dude for two years.  the first year he was a ten pointer and saw him twice.  we gave up hunting him and my buddy shoots him walking on the ground.  two weeks after we shoot him we find his left shed from the year before.  that buck scored 140 but had ten inch deductions.  he was killed in 1992.

Great page!

I'm just curious about something in your daughters hunt.  I remember back in my hunter education course my instructor told me about spining a deer.  He told me the deer make the most horrible noise in the world.  I heard her deer yell after he dropped, but was wondering how your reactions were.  I am wondering if others who have watched that video with experience to the yell of a spined deer can compare the 2 yells.  I've never heard the sound of a deer in real life.  It seemed after the shot that your daughter was either REALLY excited or REALLY terrified.  It sounded more like the excited reaction to be honest, but I want some feedback on this is you could.

pernocto, i have herd that noise from deer several times, some louder than others.  the first time it happened to me i didnt know what to make of it.  anyway when my daughter shot that deer she was pumped, i was out of the tent in about 3 seconds and that deer was gone.  i still cant believe it to this day after seeing the shot and knocking him down he was GONE.  I tracked him for two to three days and never found him.  she was really bummed and she is really hooked.

Great video. We need a good cameraman. We hunt strictly in Jackson and see so many deer. It's so hard to get a video camera rolling on your own and taking good video while trying to concentrate on taking a shot. Great video!
