Shot a real nice buck tonight, but that wind was real tough on the shot. Nice blood all throughout the track and only to find out I kicked him up. Will go back in the am and get my reward. There will be no sleep tonight!

There were a total of six bucks on my bait tonight.They came into the feed in size order.. never thought I would have seen such a thing. 1st a small buck that shedded, then a buck with 4 pionts on one side(shedded one side), then a six pointer(who was my original target)then I seen movement behind him. So, I waited and seen a nice wide rack coming my way. I drew my bow and waited for him to come into range only to find out the others were staring up at me... then the wind changed direction heading in their direction. Well you guessed it they spoooked my target.... But I was able to let the arrow fly and hit the target before he moved. The wind might have shifted the arrow a little, but their was a good sign of blood on the ground.

I was with Bucktail last night. We tracked it til dark, and jumped it once. Good blood trail. We were amazed how far this thing ran!!
I called him this morning ....he is on the trail again. I will post an update as soon as I hear from him.

Great news....Bucktail found his buck this morning!!! Its a nice 8 point. Young deer though, according to him. Here are the pics. Said some critters got to it during the night.

He tracked it and found it right beside the road this morning. He's lucky nobody saw it, could have easily been mistaken for a road kill and taken away

| glad you found him - nice way to end the season. I have a 2.5 yr old 8 point with a broken front leg running around my house. If we get deeper snow, he will really be strugling. It looks like he was hit buy a car, but could also be a slug. | ||
