Wow cool pictures. Nature is amazing! The deer is more then half the size of the gator. Wonder if the dead gator is the same one that killed the deer?

I'd like to dispute that one. The way to estimate how long a gator is, is to measure from his eye to the tip of his nose. So if he's 13 foot thats only 13 inch's on his head. That boy is way bigger than that. Thats a good 20 footer. he'd make my hair stand up if I came across him. I've hunted gators with my cousin in Fla. on the gulf coast and never saw anything bigger than 12 foot and they looked huge.

Awesome pics.

These are old but still interesting pictures. I had seen them a few years ago. There was a story that went with the pictures but I can't remember what I had for dinner yesterday either.

i know i saw another report it said it was 23 ft but no gator has gotten over 20 ft before and in the wild that was probably only in captivity.

i've heard the head length calculation before but its not too exact i've got some gator heads and a little taxidermeid one and the lengths don't match up. antway a HUGE gator
