I'm thinking of getting out this coming Saturday in Chester and I am wondering what you guys have been seeing?  They have got to be moving around in this cold weather and I think this Saturday afternoon I will give it a shot.  Thanks.

Good Luck, I have been seeing better activity during the afternoon since it got colder

I agree with Drop Tine - I was in Chester off of 24 (between Ralston and Chester) this weekend and there seems to be a lot of afternoon activity.

Checked my trail cam in Chester this morning and after pulling the photos and organizing them, there is more activity in the afternoon (9 shots) than in the morning (4 shots). There are where 5 additional afternoon shots after legal shooting time.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.  I know it is suppose to get bitterly cold later this week, but I am hoping for the mid 30s this Saturday.  During bow season I like the morning and late afternoon hunts.  When I was young and dumb and full of cum, I used to shotgun hunt from sunrise to sunset all season and into the winter months.  So, I agree with your feedback that the afternoon hours are the most favorable.  I too have dropped many deer from 3:30PM until 5PM in January and February.

Again, thanks for the feedback and I hope to see a few deer or even a small herd.

Good luck to all.

Went against the trail cam data today and hunted this morning. 26 degrees when I sat in the stand at 6:25. Tree rats showed up at 7:05, at one point had 11 of them on the ground. First deer showed up at 8:03 but I believe she saw me move. She refused to come into bow range. Kept pacing back and forth. She crossed paths with the second deer that showed up at 8:13. Second deer came into the corn and gave me a broadside shot at 8:21.
