I went to trout brook for the first time this weekend, im not sure i understand why people are shooting deer and leaving them there to rot? Same at whittingham....thats a shame because im a meat hunter.

Its the state dumping the illegal deer. I have been hunting trout brook a few times this year. Not much moving up there though

that makes sense.....i just had no idea why it was there were so many dead deer there...forgive a NY hunter with a NJ permit, ok! I did see three does cross the dirt road going up on saturday though...so i guess there are at least 3 left up there!

Same thing with the Hunterdon county parks when a deer gets hit and lands on someones lawn they sometimes dump the things in the hunters parking lots.
I am sure many people think or claim "Hunters just shoot them and let em rot there".
Hey anything to give the other guy a black eye!

I hunted in trout brook for a few years now and have taken a fear amount of deer of it. I think it is a great little sleeper spot if you don't mind walking a bit.
