Not a bad day...weatherwise. Overcast in the AM kept the sun out of my face. I saw 10 turkeys, 3 squirrels, 2 woodpeckers, couple of flocks of snows, but no partridge in a pear tree...or deer. In the PM, I still-hunted the property. Quiet and slow, covered some ground...still to many squirrels, no deer . I'll tell you what, carrying that bow...nocked and with the release hooked on is a bit tiring. Oh well, still a decent day and next month is permit shotgun. My bro hunted also...all day in the woods.

I went out for an evening stand hunt to finish out the permit bow season. Only saw 2 does around 3:00. Had a super permit season even though I never got to fill my buck stub, I passed on almost 30 bucks with the bow waiting for a good shooter. Had my chance on a very good 9 pointer, but I shot way way to low and just caught the bottom of the chest, never found him, which is hopefully okay as he was seen still wlking the woods.
