Hunted my usual hill today....This was the first time I didn't see any deer there this year.

Found (4) scrapes within a 100 yards in a straight line. Based on the rate the leaves are falling all were freshened only about 2 hours before I saw them. Lots of new rubs on large diameter trees. There was another fresh scrape just down the hill from where I got my buck last year.

In the PM I hunted the other side of the hill closer to my truck. There were lots of scrapes & rubs there too. Put out several drag lines with Tink's 69 and released a Buck Bomb near the closest scrape to my tree. Nothing.

The temperature read out at the Yellow Cottage Bakery (formally Lowry's Fish Shack) was 27 when I drove by this morning.
