I hunted a section of that land yrs. ago before the state bought it by the flashing light (big bean field with scrub pines).
We would see great bucks up till Sept. then only see small basket bucks when hunting. I don't know where they went, but they went. Even during shotgun week with pressure from all sides we never seen these deer. Somebody did, because that little diner that checked deer in the area had some bruisers being checked. Different type of hunting down south for us northern/western Jersey hunters with the ground being sandy. Good luck. |

| i hunt zone 17/18 the mills all the time was out on 9 16 and saw 2 does in the am no shot and a nice 8 and doe/fawn in the pm by the race track | ||
