and UBNJ. Took a nice doe tonight on UBNJ management property. Got out to late to check it in so I'll get the pix and info in tomorrow morning.
I had three firsts on this hunt. My first early season deer,I usually wait til regular season. This was the first time I ever heard cicdas singing while I was hunting, they're long gone by October and this was the first time I ever wore shorts while dragging out my deer.
It was a good opening day.

Shorts, T shirt, and sneakers. Too hot for boots and all that other jazz.Wore a baseball cap and meant to put on a face mask but the deer came in early and were passing thru for 45 minutes never got the chance to do that either. I was in a tree about 15 feet up right in the crown of an adjoining maple that provided perfect cover with all those green leaves right under me. Team 3 is on the board

You guys are bold with shorts in the woods...no ticks or chiggers?  Man, I've had CLUMPS of chiggers on my clothes every time out this summer...spraying down keeps them off...but bare skin exposure...you guys have guts!
