why does sometime my release works and other times it dont it a new release got it last season. does it need some lube maybe

A release needs to work EVERY time.  If you can't get it to work properly throw it out and get a new one.  Dangerous.

What do you mean.  The jaws stick closed sometimes when you hit the trigger???  Is it a caliper style trigger release or something else?
Posted:  27 Aug 2006 7:36 PM
put a very small amount of 3in1 oil on it

Mine has an adjustment for trigger pressure...perhaps yours does too and it is too tight.

I had the opposite problem when I first shooting a release. The trigger was adjusted too sensitive resulting in a few arrows launched into the stratosphere.

ya the jaws stay closed

What exactly isn't it doing? When you say, "when you hit the trigger it doesn't work", does that meant the jaws don't open or the bar doesn't flip.

That happened to mine... put a little oil on it. If that doesn't work throw it away.

Call the mfgr and send it back.
I've used several Tru Balls for years and never had a single problem.
