They will never survive the winter depending on the severity of the winter weather this year....there is a good chance the fawn/fawns won't make it.

That would be a HUGE tumor. Shes pregnant. IF she has the little ones any day, and we have a mild fall/winter.(which we probably will) Theyll make it![]() __________________ "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Deer are breeding all yaer now in Nj. Talk to the bioligst for the state & they will tell of does with fawns that are pregnet again. We had 20 pounders with spots in dec. last year. Killing more does will cause them to breed more, ececpt the ones we kill .

Killing more does will cause them to breed more I thought this was anti-hunting propaganda? Is there any truth to that statement? __________________ "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote" - Benjamin Franklin

Hey know don't you dare say anything that comes out of my mouth is anti hunting Roderic. Yes. Carrying capacity of their habitat will fluctuate birth patterns.

| Will they stop giving birth if carring capicty is reached? no. If times are good(Food /water/cover ) you will see multiply birthie twin or triplits , increase. If you stop hunting they will still give birth. | ||

| Not tring to get in a pissing match but....Look I have a degree in wildlife management. I went to Paul smith College for 2 years & finished up at Rowan.Does that mean I know my [no swearing please] from a hole in the wall? Kinda. When the necessities (food, water, cover) are abundant there WILL be more occurrences of twins & trips. When the three are not there a doe will have more single fawns. This is not "anti" BS. BTW cuz there is other ways to manage the herd. Hunting happens to be the most effective & cost friendly. | ||

Nothing you have said relates to does breeding more because hunters are shooting them. So what are you getting at. and I'm not trying to get in a pissing match either.
Abundance of Food, water, cover = twins and triplets - ok that sounds fine. Absence or decrease in food, water, cover = does have more single fawns than twins or triplets ok that sounds fine. Hunters kill does = does breed more, and there are more deer - does not sound fine. I'm having a hard time believing this one, and I'm having a hard time figuring out how any study was able to prove this. Who told you it wasn't anti propaganda?? |

| Hunters shoot deer. Less deer = habitat below carrying capacity = abundance of essentials = more multiply births. Why they are breeding all year I have no idea. " Who told you it wasn't anti propaganda" it called biology & it comes in books or several thousands of dollars worth of tuition. | ||

IMO your statement was worded very poorly for this site. "killing does will cause them to breed more." |
