I have a 2610, best investment I made in a few years. Mine works off a card and doesn't have a built in hard drive like the newest, but I like the card better. I can load topo maps when I need them and street maps seperate.
I wouldn't be without one in my vehicle, but I would stick with aftermarket/portable units, both for convenience and not  to be at the car dealers mercy.

I recently used one that was I think called the TomTom, I don't remeber who the manufacturer was.  It was pre loaded with software for North America.  It was awesome!  It would talk you directly to your destination.  Well worth the investment.

Spoiled would be having a GPS bought for you.  Spending 400.00 on something that will help you to never be lost is called an investment.  Still reading a map while driving is called stupid

A GPS is an amazing electronic device which is an aid that has helped modern day living. I wouldn't call it "spoiled".
While lost in a strange area, or on a interstate, alone during rush hour, they're worth their weight in gold, gilding you and saving time and grief, getting you to your destination
Now, frigging "cell phones", while designed as a aid also, have been abused and are a cancer, eating at our society, but I don't want to hijack the post.

Invested in a 2720 and would not travel without it. Puts you on  the spot with a minute

I've never used one in Jersey and I've always arrived where and when I was supposed to. Don't get me wrong technology is great, cell phones, fish finders ect. I just don't have the need for a gps in my vehicle.

I have one and I swear it saved me more money than the initial cost going from job to job at the shortest possible route.  Its one helluva tool.

A friend from work just got one, not sure of the make or model, he got from one of those TV Shopping Shows, he paid $300 and change. I was looking at them at BJ's Wholesale, they wanted $700 and up
