If anyone is in the Holmdel area on rt 34 S, there is a field right next to Remingtons. Right by the interesection of Rt 520 and 34. Go past it around 7:30 to 8:00 at night and you will see a field that will have anywhere from 5-10 bucks in it.
Tonight were 8 bucks - 3 that will go P&Y - one that looks like it will push 130 cl [no swearing please] as an 8 point. Can't miss them - the racks can be seen with your eye from 100 yards away. I have been by the field 3 times in the last week and they are usually out. If you stop they will scoot in the woods. Enjoy the view! |

not sure who owns it, but Tony Casola is the farmer who farms it, and I know the guys that have the hunting rights to all his properties. It is two guys and their sons.
Casola also leases this field to some guys to geese hunt. These deer are in a small corn field that will be a corn Maze. He cuts that down and the guys set up a blind right out in the middle. The hammer geese there. We tried to get it for the geese, but these guys have leased it every year since Casola got the field. |

Emu guy already has a group of hunters in there. Saw a half dozen or so quads parked there during the season.
Yes. 520 is Newman Springs Road. |

cant hunt either of those places (legally). People sneek - and the chief of police of Marlboro hunts the Hospital - thats it.
Where is Emu???? Also - check out the field on Vanderburg rd - comes off rt 79 across from the houses being built. A nice 8 point - very big deer- 180 plus. I was told about very very big buck in the same field but have not yet seen him |

I seen them deer, the whole area is over run with bucks and does, in a one mile stretch the kids counted 28 deer from the back seat, I feel like I'm gonna get in an accident, I can't keep my eyes on the road over there,
I was buy there a few days ago and an emu was strolling down 520 shoulder, now that was a sight

That property is own by a woman who's father left her the land. She has someone who takes care of the property and they use the land for riding their quads. Great location, but it is taken

you mean the Ostrage Farm? I hunt on the back side of the that in the woods on a freinds piece. great genes in that area - gets hunted pretty hard - especially once gun season comes.
Many of the bigger bucks go across the street up into the housing development. Nice pockets of woods to hide out. I also know the guys that hunt the piece. Very serious - pretty sure they took a huge non typical off it last year - didnt see the deer but a freind did. The area has a nice 10 point Gene pool- |

you mean the Ostrage Farm? Yes All along 520 in all those fields from Rte 34 to Rte 79 I see many deer feeding. Tough to tell how big they are when going down the road, no matter how much you slow up there is always a car behind you.

most likely - they are out almost everynight right now. Lots of Bachalor groups popping up, but it usually is a bit due to temps.

| That or someone else came by and stopped. The bucks will stay out till someone stops. I wish I had a camera with a zoom to take some pics. There is a few way outpast the years - but there is one above the rest that has it all with more to grow. | ||
