I was on Vanderburg Rd. the other night about 8:30pm, saw 15 bucks, about 4 or 5 were good 8 to 10 pointers. I drove right into the Chinese Church parking lot. Deer didn't run, but hey moved off into center of the field. I bet you could park back there and sneak into those woods.

Can you hunt off Rt 34? My in-laws are in Wall Twp off Allaire/New Bedford and there are some big bucks but all on small private lots behind the houses. Seen a few trucks parked along Allaire during bow but not during shotgun. __________________ NRA Life Member Cedar Hill Gun Club Zone 2

Certain spots you can, right where the picture was taken is all posted both sides of the road there in Holmdel. In Wall there are certain sections that are off limits the line is closer to RTE 18.

Cat - Guess you finally saw "the Herd" its pretty crazy in there. but not a big spot and hard to hunt. If you walk the woods edge, you will see it drops down about 50 to 60 feet into a swamp from Hell - you cannot walk through it - impossible to penetrate. about 8 years ago before the houses that was all fields. I hunted there. We would try to drive it, and the deer would never leave the swamp - and you could not get through it.

Same guys have it locked up on both sides of the road. They only trophy hunt, which is why the racks are so big. Behind that is a nursery that is fenced in, so the deer run the swale behind the houses and pop up. They wont be there long - move out early september. I have acces to 5 acres behind the small horse farm - behind remingtons, but they are now building houses above me, and its very open. I am sure I could kill a nice buck in there if it was my only spot - but its not
