Here is my email.....Enjoy!

News 12 (and I use the word “News” loosely)

I hope your reporters go back to cl [no swearing please] and try to learn something next time around! They failed to investigate all sides of the Drugged Birds story and got it all wrong as usual. Where do you find these “Reporters”? Do they fall off the Stupid Tree and you pick them up give them a shine and send them out to report the “News” all wrong? News 12 NJ is at the top of the list of unprofessional news organizations. You should be proud that you share that honor with some esteemed company, CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN. As far as I am concerned your lack of effort in getting both sides of the story is typical of the modern “Liberal” news journalist. Next time get the FACTS before you pump your hidden agendas down the public’s throat and look foolish to those that know what the facts are. Obviously you have heard of “drive by shootings”?  Well what you have done with this story is what is called “drive by media”! You swoop in and get half the story and sensationalize it and then feed it to the uninformed.

There is nothing I despise more than IGNORANCE!
Dave

We should definitley use the Nuge as our ally.  I'm sure he would back us.  That's a great idea Pla930.  How do you think we could get this in front of him?

To News12,

Following suit to your inability to deal with the "Bears, Too Close For Comfort" video controversy - you once again rely on the flawed information of the illogical and often dangerous, Animal Rights movement.

Can the viewers actually trust or accept News12 as "honest reporting" when no efforts were made by your news bureau to contact the hunters shown, the website that owns the rights to the footage or the State F&W?

Further - the heritage and traditions of our "once rural state" are constantly being assaulted and misrepresented by those in the media and those with "friends in the media".

I am in for that.  Great idea....absolutely great idea.  If we can get Ted to bring light to this...it would be great.  He has a much stronger voice than Stuie and his little goonies.

A copy of my e-mail that I just sent....

To whom It May Concern,

Are you reporting the story or making it up? Since when is Hunting against the law? What my fellow bowhunters did was not against the law or even unethical. All you had to do was check the states web page to see and understand the laws regarding hunting. Did you even try to contact any of the hunting groups? Any of the people in the video or are you taking sides with the anti hunters ? So much for being a neutral party and reporting a story, looks like you are trying to make a story. If I do not see a more fair report that shows that what was being done was legal then I will not watch channel 12 news and will boycott you sponsors and I will let them know why I will not support their business. Thank you.

Ted kicks off his Euro tour tonight.  However, he knows about this.

The News Editor for Gannett who is responsible for this story being published is:

Mike Symons
(609)984-4336
msymons@app.com

He is Tom Baldwin's editor and as far as I'm concerned the false allegations about the bird being drugged are his responibility.

The managing editor for the Courier News is looking into how such as misleading headline was put with this story. http://www.newjerseyhunter.com/article11249.html

In your letters to the editors, make sure we remind them who Stu is and how he held the position that there is not a bear problem in NJ, and that the deer population can be controlled without hunting.

Further they should be advised that he is no more an expert on wildlife than he is a brain surgeon.

zero credibility.

That's basically what I've been telling the editors who put the article out.  I also let them know the only reason he is coming to them is because none of the legislators will listen to him anymore and that they were running free publicity for this one activists.  There is no story, no drugged animal, no laws broken.

The Courier News editor was reasonable and understood my position.  The Gannett/APP editors just basically said "that's our story and we're sticking too it". Asbury Park Press sucks.  (Just my opinion)
