How old was that deer?....its rack is unbelievably typical.  When I see a deer like that, I always wonder how big it could have gotten, chances are it probably maxed out at that size, but who knows, it another year or two that deer may have been a typical state record.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying you shouldnt have shot it anything, I dont know any hunter that would p [no swearing please] up a monster like thatCongrats!!

Ok fellas... I'll try to answer all your questions. He was taken in Hillsborough ,NJ on private land. Zone 14  Somerset county.  I'm not sure what his age was. I got 4 different opinions ranging from 5-8 years. He should officially score in the upper 140's. When I get the score I will let you know.  http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c302/joex69/DSCN0335.jpg

Joex3006,
I live in Hillsborough and have hunted here the last two seasons. I took a few good bucks and one that made the NJ Outstanding Deer Award. Grossed 138 1/8, Net 125 1/8. If it didn't break off the front of it's beam it would have grossed much higher.Would like talk to you about the area. Do you have food plots?
